Help Recruit More Women of Color!

The Diversity Council is a group of Big Sisters, Board Members, Young Professional Board Members, and community leaders throughout Greater Boston, who are committed to increasing the number of volunteers of color.
 

• 84% of girls served by Big Sister Association are girls of color
  
• 26% of Big Sister volunteers are women of color

The Diversity Council works together to develop ways to recruit and retain Big Sisters of color. Through relationship-building, partnerships, and raising visibility, Council members are working to increase the percentage of our volunteers who are women of color so that our Little Sisters have the opportunity to be matched with a Big Sister of a similar cultural background.
