On May 12, Big Sister Boston returned to the runway at the Fairmont Copley Plaza for our first in-person event since 2019. The Project Role Model fashion show shone a spotlight on the power of role models and mentoring relationships. Notable Bostonians and Big and Little Sisters walked the runway in styles from Angelica Timas, Kreyol, Laletty & Co., lalla bee, and SALMAGUNDI. Emcee, Lisa Hughes of WBZ-TV/CBS Boston, ran the show while DJ Maverik, official DJ of the Boston Red Sox, kept the soundtrack spinning.

For a recap of all the action, click here to watch Project Role Model on Channel 4 news!

And, click on the video below to hear from Angelica Timas, Big Sister Amanda, and Little Sister Anais about the impact of mentorship.

Big thanks to event co-chairs Lisa Collins and Amy Lund, our Host Committee: Taneshia Camillo-Sheffey, Stephanie Coughlan, Allyce Najimy, Evelyn Reyes, Eneida Roman, and Ronnie Schauer, and our sponsors who all stepped up in support of Greater Boston’s girls.

Special thanks to Spike Events for donating their Magic Mirror Photo Booth for the evening, making our cocktail reception fun, festive, and fashionable.
