Why Give?

The pandemic has amplified inequities in our community and put a spotlight on the social isolation of girls we support as Little Sisters. During this time of social distancing, our staff and Big Sister mentors have been innovative in creating ways to ensure that our Little Sisters are emotionally connected to their Big Sisters. Our staff designed a Virtual Mentoring Toolkit so that our Little Sisters receive the ongoing support and advice they have come to depend on from their Big Sisters. We have also created a virtual activities for the girls on our wait list. And, we are in contact with families and are actively connecting them to other community resources to help alleviate food insecurity and other difficult issues they are facing.

Big Sister’s door never closes. We are community connectors who strengthen the resiliency of the girls of Greater Boston.

As we are working out of the office in alignment with Governor Baker’s recommendations for businesses, gifts made online or via EFT are preferred to payments by check at the current time.

During this time of physical distance, our Little Sisters need to know that their community is here supporting them. By making a monthly gift you are providing consistent funding that will have an immediate impact. Simply select the recurring option in our donation form to make your gift on a regular schedule.
