Big Sister = Quality + Efficiency

Posted 06/02/2008

Did you know that Big Sister serves so many girls each year that we are considered part of the Large Agency Alliance?  This group consists of all Big Brothers Big Sisters Affiliates who serve more than 1,500 children each year.  In 2007, Big Sister served more than 2,900 girls!  Not only did we serve more of Greater Boston’s girls than ever before, but we also served them efficiently.  If you take a look at the numbers, you will see that Big Sister has one of the lowest costs per match of all the Large Agency Alliance members.  We are proud to be serving our matches with quality and efficiency.

*Because Big Brothers Big Sisters of America does not include the number of girls served through unique services such as our Group Mentoring and Big for a Day programs in their statistics, this number reflects only girls served through our Community-Based and School-Based Mentoring programs.  The total number of girls served through all of our mentoring programs in 2007 is 2,908.
