Donate Activity Supplies to Big & Little Sisters At the Josiah Quincy School

Posted 09/11/2019

This is a special opportunity just for John Hancock employees to donate activity supplies to some of our Big and Little Sisters.

The Big and Little Sisters below are part of our Site-Based Mentoring program at the Josiah Quincy School in Boston. These matches meet at the Josiah Quincy once a week throughout the school year and love to do crafts, science projects, writing and drawing, or reading together.

Perhaps more important than the learning and growing opportunities presented by the activities is the conversations that occur during them. The activities provide a safe space for Little Sister to talk to a trusted adult about all facets of her life, and continue to build the bond between her and her Big Sister. By supporting these activities and interests, you are also providing a catalyst for strengthening a relationship that yields profound outcomes in improved confidence, academic performance, interpersonal relationships, and healthy decision-making.
