Fashion Show Featuring Jason Varitek

Posted 03/20/2013

The snow and sleet could not keep Boston’s fashionistas and Big Sister supporters away from Big Sister Association’s third annual Fashion Show on Tuesday, March 19. The event, led by co-chairs Don Rodman and Carol McKean, was our most successful one yet, raising more than $100,000 to benefit Big Sister’s mission of helping girls achieve their full potential by providing them with positive mentoring relationships with women.

More than 400 guests joined us at the Fairmont Copley Plaza to witness Boston’s most notable men modeling Classic Tuxedo, and professional women models dressed in Denise Hajjar’s Spring 2013 collection. Following a cocktail reception, guests received a warm welcome from the Honorable Mayor Menino accompanied by Big Sisters and Little Sisters. Future fashion designer, Little Sister Rodrienne, beamed with pride as she told the crowd that she had designed and made the dress she wore, with help from her Big Sister Jeanne McDermott.
