Meet Big Igniter Renee Omolade

Posted 10/04/2016

During the weeks leading up to Big in Boston on November 12, we will be recognizing our Big Igniters. These are women who are creating a better Boston for the next generation. Like Big Sister Boston, these women embody the vision of a community in which every child has access to the care and support they need to thrive.

Meet Renee Omolade, the first of our Big Igniters to be recognized in the weeks leading up to Big in Boston. Renee is igniting change through her work leading the Lewis Family Foundation’s Bigger Than My Block initiative, which aims to guide young people from “The Spine”  (Dorchester, Roxbury & Mattapan) to positive college choices. She is also the co-founder of social activist coalition, We Are The Ones, which focuses on creating positive social change in communities of color. Congratulations, Renee, and thank you for lighting a path to success for our city’s youth.
