On Saturday, November 9, our Big Sister community gathered to celebrate Greater Boston’s girls and the transformative power of mentoring. Hosted by Co-Chairs Jack Connors, Jr. and Charlie Baker, the event was a night to remember.

Guests heard from Little Sister Colleen White about her Big Sister Kristen Herlihy: “I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t had a Big Sister.  At 11, I saw Kristen as someone who wasn’t like me, who wasn’t from Southie.  Today, I see my best friend.  I see someone who I can trust and who has always been there for me.  I see someone I admire and someone who cared enough to stick with me for the past 14 years.”

The event raised more than $1,000,000 which will match Greater Boston’s girls with a trained mentor, support a Big and Little Sister’s growing relationship, and provide customized, relationship building activities.
