On Sunday, Boston’s most renowned chefs delighted senses and inspired spirits at Big Sister Association’s 15th Annual Celebrity Chef Dinner. Chef Michael Schlow of Via Matta, Alta Strada, and Tico generously hosted the highly-anticipated dining experience at Tico Restaurant.
Susan Wornick, former WCVB-TV5 anchor, ushered guests through the elaborate five-course dinner. Celebrity Chefs included Dante de Magistris of Restaurant dante and il Casale, Evan Deluty of Stella and No. 29 Sudbury, Jeremy Sewall of Eastern Standard and Row 34, Michael Schlow, Leo Asaro, and PJ Waters of Via Matta, Alta Strada. and Tico.
During the reception, guests enjoyed animated conversations, passed hors d’oeuvres, and cocktails.
“This event gets better and better every year,” said Chef Michael Schlow. “It’s been around for a long time and for good reason.”
Guests heard individual stories of girls waiting for a Big Sister and quickly responded to the call to transform a girl’s life. At the end of the evening, Susan Wornick proudly announced that we raised a total of $175,000 to support Big Sister’s mentoring programs for girls.
